Hybrid Car and Gas Mileage



Hybrid cars are vehicles which utilize two power sources for driving the vehicle. They are fuel and battery. There are many varieties of hybrid cars that are available in the market,  but one should  keep in mind few things while choosing a hybrid car. It is an environment friendly car.

This hybrid car gives an increased gas mileage. Various studies on the gas mileage of these cars show that they give a maximum of seventy-five percent mileages or sometimes even the mileage specified by the car manufacturers.

However, there are many contradictory views about the mileage of these cars. Some owners of these cars are of the view that hybrid cars don’t give the expected mileage as was shown in comparison to the conventional cars while purchasing them.

These cars are more fuel efficient as they use a small engine to generate power from the electric motor fitted inside the car. They also utilize the system of regenerative braking which assists it to save more energy.

It utilizes disk brakes like conventional cars to stop the car suddenly. Apart from these, this process does not affect the gas mileage and it contributes to boost up the gas mileage.

These cars give a better gas mileage than conventional gas cars.
